Ubisoft Q4 Sales Rise 37% on Tom Clancy Games, TMNT & Wii Ti

French publisher Ubisoft today reported its full-year and fourth-quarter sales for the period ended March 31, revealing results that easily outstripped targets. Total sales during Q4 were up 37.4 percent to 197 million euros ($268 million). For 2006/2007 sales rose 24.4 percent to 680 million euros ($925 million). For Q4 Ubisoft had been targeting a minimum of 152 million euros, but managed to beat guidance by 45 million euros in part because of the "robust performance" of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (1 million units sold on 360) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which sold more than 1.1 million units across eight platforms.

The company also attributed its performance to the continued success of games launched in previous quarters, including Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (1.7 million units sold since the game was launched), Wii games such as Rayman and Red Steel (more than 830,000 and 950,000 units sold, respectively), and the Petz series of games, which collectively sold 3.5 million units during the fiscal year.
